Our Process

A clear, well-managed process from first conversation to finished kitchen.

How we work

Designed properly. Delivered personally.

A new kitchen is a big decision, and most clients want the same thing from the process: clarity, good advice and confidence that the job is being handled properly.

At Samuel Neal Kitchens, you deal directly with Sam from the beginning. He guides the design, helps shape the specification and stays closely involved through installation, so the finished kitchen reflects what was agreed from the start and benefits from Sam’s exacting attention to detail.

Our Process

  • Everything starts with an appointment at the Grimsby showroom.

This is where Sam gets a feel for the project, the style you are drawn to and how you want the kitchen to work. It is also a chance to look at materials, cabinetry, appliances and finishes in person, and start narrowing down the direction of the design.

Some clients come in with a clear vision. Others only know that the current kitchen is not working. Both are fine.

  • Once there is a clear sense of the brief, Sam visits your home to measure the space and look at how the room is currently working.

This stage is about more than dimensions. It helps identify practical opportunities and constraints, from layout issues and appliance positions to how the kitchen connects with the rest of the home.

Budget is also discussed early, so the design develops around what feels right for the project rather than becoming unrealistic.

  • Back at the studio, Sam develops the design around the layout, workflow and overall feel of the kitchen.

This is where the engineering mindset comes in. Storage, circulation, appliance placement and day-to-day usability are resolved first, before the finer material and finish decisions are finalised.

The aim is always the same: a kitchen that looks great and works for your home.

  • Once the design is ready, you come back to the showroom to go through it in detail.

This is where the plan starts to feel real. Layout, cabinetry, finishes, appliances and worktops are discussed together, along with any changes needed to get everything exactly where it needs to be.

Nothing is rushed. This stage is about refining the design until it feels right.

  • If the project includes more than kitchen supply and fitting, Sam coordinates the wider works too.

That can include plumbing, electrics, plastering, flooring, decorating and any other practical work needed to prepare the room properly. The relevant trades are brought in at the right time, with the design and scope clearly explained so costs and logistics can be planned properly.

This joined-up approach is one of the things clients value most, because it keeps the whole project moving in the same direction.

  • Once the design and specification are agreed, the order is placed and the project moves into the lead-in period.

Sam stays in touch throughout this stage, keeping communication clear and making sure everything remains on track. If the project is part of a larger renovation or new build, timings can be managed around that too.

As the installation date approaches, the practical details are confirmed so everyone is ready when installation day arrives.

  • When installation begins, Sam stays closely involved.

He is there at key stages, including delivery, worktop templating and worktop installation, and remains in regular contact with the fitters and wider trades throughout. That helps ensure the design is being delivered as intended and that any issues are dealt with quickly and properly.

Clients often comment on this stage in their reviews, because it is where the difference between a supplied kitchen and a properly managed project becomes very clear.

  • Once everything is finished, the final details are checked, care information is provided and any remaining points are dealt with.

Sam remains available after completion too. Clients are not left chasing a showroom or passed between departments. If there is a question after the kitchen is finished, they know exactly who to contact.

That continuity matters, especially with a project of this scale.
