About Samuel Neal Kitchens
A founder-led kitchen studio in Grimsby. Good design. Clear advice. Kitchens done properly.
Who we are
A more personal way to design a kitchen
Samuel Neal Kitchens isn’t a high-volume showroom, nor is it a business built around sales targets. It is a founder-led kitchen studio where clients deal directly with Sam, from the first conversation through to completion.
Sam has been designing kitchens for 20+ years and brings a practical, structured mindset to the process. With a background in civil engineering and architecture, he approaches kitchen design from a layout, flow and long-term usability perspective before specifying materials, cabinetry and appliances that have been carefully selected for their quality, longevity and value.
That matters, because a kitchen can look fantastic on a screen or in a showroom but fall flat under real world conditions.
Why people choose Samuel Neal Kitchens
-
Sam’s approach starts with functionality. Before colours, finishes or handles are discussed, Sam will discuss how you live in your space. This enables us to create a unique layout for your home that answers issues of storage, workflow, appliance positioning and movement through the room.
-
Sam is selective about the manufacturers and products he works with. If something feels flimsy, overhyped or of poor value, it does not go into a Samuel Neal project. The focus stays on cabinetry, appliances and materials that are reliable, durable and built to last.
-
Clients work directly with Sam throughout the project. He does not disappear once the order is placed. He stays closely involved from the early design stage through to installation, checking progress and making sure everything is delivered as intended.
-
Designing a kitchen involves a lot of decisions. Sam’s role is not to overcomplicate them. He gives straightforward advice about what will work, what will not, where it is worth spending properly, and where savings should be made.
-
Many Samuel Neal kitchens include more than cabinets and appliances. Plumbing, electrics, plastering, decorating and flooring often need coordinating too. Sam manages that process so the whole job stays joined up.
-
The strongest proof is often what clients say afterwards. Our reviews repeatedly mention Sam’s attention to detail, calm oversight, trusted trades and the fact that clients felt looked after from start to finish.
Your journey
Our simple, clear & properly managed process
The process at Samuel Neal Kitchens usually starts with an appointment at the Grimsby showroom, where Sam gets a feel for the client, the style they are drawn to and how they want the kitchen to work. From there, he arranges a home survey, takes detailed measurements, talks through budget expectations and starts developing the design.
Once the layout is in place, clients return to review the design, discuss revisions and refine the specification. If the project includes additional building works, we bring in the relevant trades so costs and practical details can be planned properly before anything moves forward.
After that, it is about clear communication, careful ordering and regular involvement on site. Sam stays close to the job throughout, checking that each stage is being delivered to the right standard and that the finished kitchen reflects what was agreed from the start.

Frequently asked questions
-
You will deal directly with Sam. He handles the design side personally and remains closely involved throughout the project, rather than passing everything over once the order is placed.
-
Yes, where needed. Many Samuel Neal kitchens involve more than just supplying and fitting units, so plumbing, electrics, plastering, decorating and flooring can all be coordinated as part of the wider job.
-
The biggest difference is how involved Sam stays and how selective he is about quality and value. The business is built around good design, trusted products and kitchens that are planned properly from the start.
-
No. Samuel Neal designs both modern and modern-classic kitchens. The common thread is not a single style, but a preference for kitchens that are practical, well balanced and built properly.
-
Not at all. Many clients come in with only a rough idea of the look they like or the problems they want to solve. Part of Sam’s role is helping shape that into a kitchen that works in practice.
-
Yes. Appointments mean clients get proper time to talk through ideas, look at materials and discuss the project in detail, rather than trying to do it all while other showroom traffic is coming and going.
-
Because it matters. Clients regularly mention Sam’s oversight, communication and trusted trades because that joined-up approach makes the whole process feel calmer and more reliable.
